Baby Megan took her first swim this weekend and her wee tush was wrapped in an AppleCheeks Washable Swim Diaper!We know AppleCheeks for their Canadian made reusable cloth diapers. I haven't converted to cloth (yet) so I blindly throw out regular disposable diapers everyday, but buying and tossing out disposable swim diapers irks me to no end.
My kids swim a lot -- swimming lessons in the winter, backyard pool in the summer and Grandma & Papa have a beach. We've spent a mint on swim diapers.

Reusable swim diapers are the BEST! Even if you don't cloth diaper these save a tonne of money and are even easier to use!
She may not have loved it but at least she looks adorable!
... but how was the diaper? Did she make a mess in it? was the poop contained? What about pee? if she were running around in and out of a baby pool would she have been wet? I am a CD mom but am SO nervous to make the switch to a cloth swim diaper.
by "would she be wet" I mean if she peed and not in the pool
Leslie, in fairness, she wasn't in the diaper super long (she was wet & cold from her swim) so I didn't experience a dirty diaper but it was a snug fit so I think it would have held in a mess very well.
We found the AppleCheeks swim diapers to be one of the best products out there with our two sons.
The poop was safely contained when our oldest son pooped in his, and we absolutely love the Bonfire. We were so disappointed when AppleCheeks discontinued it.
